With holidays there are unlimited choices for you to choose from, where to go, when to go, things to see, where to stay… We are focusing on where to stay, accommodation to be specific. We will be comparing hotels against self catering holiday rentals to see what really are the pros and cons for you to consider.Â
Over recent year’s hotels have always been the big hit with tourists going abroad, most holiday goers find it easy to book hotels and find that they are given comfort and location for a good price. Many tourists who travel and choose to stay in hotels don’t necessarily tend to consider private accommodation. They feel that it is time consuming, expensive and simply not for them. With times slowly changing and more and more people using the internet and with a little extra help from the recession tourists are realising that private rentals are much more affordable and can offer the exact same and more than a hotel.Â
What does a hotel really offer, Sit back and think about it… unless you really splash out, all you get is a box room with an en suite. No different to your bedroom back home. Facilities offered, some with pools, maybe a restaurant and some activities throughout the day to fill your time, whilst also sharing the pool with the many others who are staying there, this is what the average hotel offers. Not an amazing amount considering how much you may end up spending. Of course if you’re visiting somewhere like Vegas, the hotels are like mini towns.Â
Now on the other hand, self catering holiday rentals offer abundance, once your eyes have been opened to private accommodation you won’t look back. There are endless places with rentals available, Europe, America, South America, Asia and more. Most offer pools, a number of bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms and living space, all for a third of what a hotel for four costs.Â
Yes you can stay in a hotel right on the beach, but you can do the same with a private holiday rental. Intrigued then why not start looking for a private rental this summer to find out what you have been missing out on.
